Telegram Mini App
5minread is also available as a Telegram Mini App — summarize articles, videos, and documents directly inside Telegram without installing a browser extension.
How to Open
- Open Telegram and find the 5minread bot (@Sminread)
- Tap "Open App" or use the bot menu button
- The Mini App launches inside Telegram — no installation needed
The Mini App works on any device where Telegram is installed — iOS, Android, and Desktop.
What You Can Do
The Mini App provides the same core features as the browser extension:

The Mini App has five tabs at the bottom:

Link Email Account
When you first open the Mini App, your account is created automatically via Telegram. If you already have a 5minread account (registered on the website or through the browser extension), you can link it to your Telegram account to sync your history, settings, and subscription.
Why Link Your Email?
- Sync everything — your summaries, folders, tags, and presets become available across Telegram, browser extension, and web app
- Keep your subscription — if you have a PRO or MAX plan, linking connects it to the Mini App
- Single account — no duplicate data, one unified experience
How to Link
- Go to Settings tab in the Mini App
- Find the "Link Email Account" section
- Enter the email address you used to register on 5minread.tech
- Tap "Send Code"
- Check your email inbox for the 6-digit verification code
- Enter the code in the Mini App and tap "Verify"
If you don't see the email, check your spam folder. You can tap "Resend code" to request a new one.
You can only link an email that is already registered on 5minread.tech. If you don't have an account yet, create one first and then link it.
Possible Errors
| Error | What it means |
|---|---|
| No account found | The email is not registered on 5minread.tech |
| Already linked | This email is already connected to a different Telegram account |
| Wrong code | The verification code is incorrect — try again |
| Code expired | The code has expired — tap "Resend code" to get a new one |
| Too many attempts | Too many failed attempts — request a new code |
After Linking
Once linked, the Settings page shows your email with a green checkmark. Your accounts are now synced — summaries created in the Mini App appear in the extension, and vice versa.
Settings
The Mini App includes the same settings available in the extension:
- Interface Language — choose from 15 languages
- Summary Length — Short, Medium, or Full
- Summary Language — use interface language or keep original language

Upgrade via Telegram Stars
You can upgrade your plan directly in Telegram using Telegram Stars — no credit card needed.
- Go to Settings and tap "Upgrade Plan"
- Choose PRO or MAX
- Tap "Buy for X Stars"
- Confirm the payment in Telegram

Limits
The same limits and plans apply to the Mini App. Token usage is shared across all platforms — extension, web app, and Mini App.
